I'm not sure what triggered it, but my interest has for metal detecting. I received a Bounty Hunter Quick Draw II from my late father as a Christmas gift years ago. I think I've only used it once, but I remember having fun before realizing how limited my choices were in location to use it. I currently live in Plymouth and would love some insider knowledge of areas to hunt!

If your coil is waterproof the shallows at Parker's Lake Beach. Same goes for the two beaches at Medicine Lake and surround park. Get online and research the area, plat maps may be available for your area, they will show you how old some parks are. Is there a old residential part of town, pre WWII or maybe Victorian, hunt the parks in that area. The key to good hunting spots is research and sometimes that is also half the fun.

We have a club meeting coming up next Tuesday, you should come and meet other detectorist, maybe even someone from that side of town.
