Here is a picture of the ring I found on display at the Saint Paul U.S. Army Corps of Engineers office.  It's good to know that it is in a safe spot and can be enjoyed by anyone who visits the building.

Just wanted to give an update to this.   The ring that Reese donated was taken to a jeweler before being put on display.  After it had been cleaned and polished, he could make out a name and a 7 digit number inside. 

I have submitted a request through military archives to see if the name and number can be matched to a service member.  If so, perhaps we can find a living relative. 

The story continues!  If progress is made......I will post it up here.  For sure it's an interesting story and hopefully it will continue!
